... and some thank you's

There were many people that made our trip most enjoyable. This included staff on the airlines, at check in counters, at hotel reception, in bars and restaurants, but most importantly the following (in order of appearance)

Francis. We had only met Francis briefly before in Oz, however when we were in San Francisco, he certainly made us welcome and showed us some of the sites as well as where to get great food.

Ben & Anne. Firstly, catching up with us in Chicago, arranging accommodation as well as selecting/suggesting where we should eat. Ben & Anne are masters at this. Taking care of us in New York as well as providing great accommodation in west village at your apartment. Showing us around the big apple, and also letting us roam on our own, always ensuring that we had sufficient details on using the metro, etc. Arranging and ensuring that we had a great time sightseeing and eating at some top spots in Boston.

Matt & Chrystal. Allowing us to stay on their penultimate night in their apartment, amongst the boxes packed for removal - not quite. Having an excellent meal at a French Restaurant as well as ensuring that we had all the information to get and off at the correct stations for the tube as well as bus'ing it to the station.

Libby. We were made so welcome by Libby in Prague, what a lovely apartment you have, so close to the Old Town, as well as only a few hundred metres to the tram. As usual Libby was unflappable, her lovely parents, Don & Heather, were "boarders" at the same time that we were there. As usual nothing phased Libby at all and she was here usual organised and helpful self.

Mark & Franziska. It was fantastic (one of Mark's favourite words) to be greeted by Mark as we arrived at the airport and cleared customs. It was fantastic to stay with Mark & Franziska, then wake up and look out over the frost or into the mist in the early morning light. Thank you for showing us Lucerne, Zurich as well as your hometown of Berne. What can I say - fantastic

Mavis & Michel. We had only met you once before when you were in Oz, escaping from a European winter. Michel met us at the train station and we had a wonderful drive with commentary back to your house in a little village outside of Geneva in France. We were taken in as family which was wonderful. Loved the wines, loved the meals, loved our pre-dinner chats & "nibblies". Thank you to you both
