We fly out tonight, so have a few hours to fill in around HK. After packing and checking out, leaving our bags in storage, we head down the waterfront and walk along the path way which runs past the HK Convention & Exhibition Centre. A perfect way to fill in a few hours as it is a blue sky (as blue as it gets here) mid twenties.

This statue (structure) is of Hong Kong's national flower which is also stylised on the HK flag. This is in the forecourt of the HK Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Although the waterfront walkway is not complete as yet there was plenty that was complete and available for people to walk along as well as some keen fishermen. It will eventually lead from the western end of the island, past Central then the eastern end of the northern foreshore of HK island, there is a lot of land reclamation taking place as part of this exercise.
Back to the hotel, get our bags and wait for the bus. Although the bus is a few minutes late, we are the last pick up, and we are headed directly to the airport, and get there in plenty of time. The other great thing is that as a gold FF, we can bypass most of the queue which is quite long as this is one of the first flights out of HK since the lockout has been lifted, so there are many who are attempting to re-book on this flight. We have also jagged upgrades to Business as well - woo hoo.
We leave on time and after an uneventful flight, as all went according to plan, we arrive back in Oz on 1 November - Melbourne Cup Day as scheduled.
The end of our seven fabulous weeks on our round the world adventure. Now to share all those memories and photos - in fact we took over 1400 photos including a few videos.
