The day before we flew out out of San Francisco, was a bit of a non event. Jet lag caught up and we did not do too much in the morning which left only a short time to have a look around in the afternoon before catching up with Francis (our man in San Fran).
Headed into the city area, and in hindsight we should have cabbed it, rather than hotel shuttle to BART station and then train into town, this took much longer than we figured so only a short time to have a look around the pier, before catching up with Francis for a meal, good chat and our good byes.
So we will definitely need to head back to San Francisco to do the things we missed this trip
- Cable car ride, when we got there the queues were far too long,
- Fisherman's wharf, intended to cable car to here
- Golden Gate Bridge. The day (Tuesday) we were at the Golden Gate Bridge, the thick fog had just rolled in, so the view was non existent and had planned to head back there on Thursday morning
- Napa Valley wine tour
- Alcatraz
- Overnight at Yosemite National Park to explore some more
- plus much more
